THE FUNDAMENTALS OF APPLIED NEUROLOGY

Session 1 covers key concepts like neurological threat perception, pain science, and the essential assess/re-assess process.

In Session 2, you'll dive deeper into the neural hierarchy, focusing on how the brain uses inputs to detect threats—giving you a clear starting point for your clients in applied neurology.

• Understanding how the brain "feeds" ties together biomechanics, movement, and nutrition, helping you see the bigger picture.

Session 3 explores the neuroanatomy of the brain and highlights the critical role of respiration and breathing in supporting the brain and nervous system.

• An understanding of how respiration can be a huge contributor neurologically to pain, anxiety, and other performance issues... and why it's so important to assess with ALL of your clients or patients
• Breathing assessments to pinpoint exactly what part of respiration your client or patient needs to work on
• The go-to breathing drills used by our neuro coaches to create lasting results

Session 4 focuses on movement, proprioceptive mapping, and motor control.

You'll see how to use simple, specific exercises to improve strength, boost performance, and reduce pain through effective movement drills.

Session 5 takes us into the neural hierarchy, focusing on the visual system at the very top and its impact on the brain. 

Vision is such a vital part of our survival that any deficits in quality or movement of the eyes can easily impact performance, create pain & postural compensations, and lead to other structural issues.

Here is what you will learn:

• You’ll learn visual anatomy, reflexes, assessments, and drills that improve strength, balance, power, agility, endurance, and speed.
• How vision is interpreted in the brain. 
• Vision vs. Eyesite and its pertinence to training. 
• The Hierarchy of the sensory systems and the importance of pain perception in the brain.

Session 6 dives into the vestibular system, exploring its role in posture, stabilization, voluntary movement, reaction speed, and movement accuracy.
